Decker Truck Line has announced that Ray Pressler was selected as the April 2006 Driver of the Month for the flatbed division. Pressler, who has been with Decker since March 2002, lives in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He is a member of Decker’s Million Mile Team, achieving the two million mile level without a single preventable accident.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the reefer/van division was Bahne Struecker, a company driver who resides in Algona, Iowa, with his wife, Diane. He has been with Decker since May 1996 and also is a member of Decker’s Million Mile Team.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing, and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators who are selected as a driver of the month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
