Cartasite, a provider of remote monitoring solutions for fleet management, has announced the launch of its new Cartasite RTS system. The company says the Web-based solution designed specifically for monitoring the location, status and condition of mobile assets makes optimal use of GPS tracking, wireless technology and other Microsoft software to offer fleets an overall business operations solution.
According to Cartasite, its RTS system is communications and hardware agnostic, which means that Cartasite customers can select the technologies suited for their needs, including the hardware and communications provider of their choice. Delivered through a Web portal, the fleet management system has no administrative costs and delivers up-to-the-minute mobile asset information in the manner the customer chooses.
“Cartasite RTS represents a new approach in fleet management,” says David Armitage, chief executive officer of the Denver-based company. “It’s about putting timely, accurate operational information into the hands of the right people in a format that works the way people work, and not the other way around – expecting people to adapt to the software. The end result combines real-time fleet data with an easy-to-use, Web-based software platform that delivers a clear picture to help increase fleet productivity, reduce operating costs and mitigate risks.”
Cartasite RTS products are offered with the flexibility to choose the right solution for each fleet’s needs. The RTS system includes electronic service records with operational/exception alerts; customer-defined locations through geofencing and alerting; virtual odometer via GPS idle-time reports; unauthorized use notification through activity logs; and ping-on-demand for real-time displays per vehicle, facilitating real-time tracking of fleet assets at set reporting intervals.
