Fleet One expands sales force

Nine new employees recently joined the sales force for Fleet One, a provider of financial service solutions to companies with fleets of vehicles and the merchants that serve them.

“These sales professionals significantly grow and enhance our fuel card provider sales team, which reflects our company’s overall domestic growth and market share gain in recent months,” says Michael Thompson, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Nashville, Tenn.-based Fleet One.

In the first quarter of 2006, the following sales professionals joined Fleet One’s Local division, which services businesses with company vans, trucks and cars:

  • Hank Harrison joins the company as an account executive to focus on Fleet One’s partnership with Valero Energy Corp. and other alliances. A native of Georgia, Harrison has more than a decade of professional sales experience, including healthcare.
  • Linda Meza joins as Fleet One’s Northern California account executive based in San Francisco. A California native, Meza previously worked as an account manager in fuel sales for San Francisco Petroleum and as market manager for RW Lynch Corp.
  • Tim Engles comes to Fleet One from Wells Fargo Financial, where he was responsible for sales strategies, debt consolidation, real estate refinancing and selling to finance customers. Engles joins the local inside sales team, where he will concentrate on the company’s partnership with Valero Energy. A native of Texas, Engles is a business administration graduate of Belmont University.
  • In the first quarter of 2006, the following sales professionals joined Fleet One’s Over the Road (OTR) division, which services trucking companies:

  • Kurt Westgard joins Fleet One as an account executive. Westgard previously worked with Comdata, where he consistently received top honors and awards for outstanding sales performance. Fluently bilingual with extensive global business travel experience, Westgard also worked as an export account executive with Maine Industrial Tires, and as associate marketing manager with Mitsui & Co. USA.
  • Joining Fleet One as an associate account executive is Steven Fuller, who has both inside and outside professional sales experience, most recently with HealthStream. Prior to that, Fuller worked at Comdata in the Business Fleet Services division, where he ranked in the top 10 percent of the company’s sales team. Fuller is a business administration graduate of the University of Phoenix.
  • Also joining as an associate account executive in the company’s OTR division is Tina Colvin. Prior to Fleet One, Colvin worked as a labor relations consultant with Sullivan & Associates in Clarksville, Tenn. She has extensive experience in customer communications and customer service, having worked at the corporate office of Tim Horton, Edward Jones Investments and Crew Training International.
  • Connie Fowler joins Fleet One as an account executive. Most recently, Fowler served as director of fuel management for Montgomery Tank Lines in Florida. She also has worked at Hertz Equipment Rental and Budget Truck Rentals, as well as at Comdata, where she was account manager in transaction processing.
  • Also joining Fleet One as an account executive is Chelsey Charon. Charon previously worked for the Dura-Line Corp., where she was inside sales and account manager for an eight-state territory, servicing clients such as MCI, Time Warner and Comcast. In addition, Charon has experience in technical support, having worked for Bridge Information Systems/Savvis and Princeton Gamma Tech.
  • David Brodsky joins Fleet One as an account executive. Prior to Fleet One, Brodsky worked as a mortgage loan officer for SunTrust Mortgage, and as an account executive and licensing executive for Broadcast Music.
