Atro Engineered Systems has introduced its Polylast SK line of shackle pins and spring pins that the company says is available for most OE equipment and can be used in a wide range of applications, including emergency vehicles, school buses, and concrete, dump and waste haulers.
The design limits the lateral movement of the pin without affecting its articulation, which Atro says delivers better side stability, allowing the load to remain centered on the spring assembly. Components of the Polylast SK – which the company says is a no-maintenance, no-grease product – have a corrosion-resistant zinc coating that can help protect the shackle from environmental elements, and can help extend the life of the leaf spring and the connecting hardware.
