Public meetings scheduled on TWIC for port workers

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the U.S. Coast Guard announced four public meetings regarding their proposal to require a transportation worker identification credential for workers, including truck drivers, who have unescorted access to secure areas of maritime ports.

The meeting schedule is:

Wednesday, May 31, Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel, Newark, N.J.;

Thursday, June 1, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel, Tampa, Fla.;

Tuesday, June 6, Renaissance St. Louis Hotel Airport, St. Louis; and

Wednesday, June 7, Renaissance Long Beach Hotel, Long Beach, Calif.
