During the recent annual conference of the National Private Truck Council in Nashville, Tenn., Matt Peterson, the manager of national account lease sales for Mack Trucks, was recognized for the work he has done during his two-year term as chairman of the NPTC.

National Private Truck Council is the national trade association dedicated exclusively to representing private motor carrier fleets. These corporate or private truck fleets are operated by manufacturers, distributors, processors and retailers to meet inbound and outbound transportation needs. Such fleets include food, retail, wholesale, construction and service companies.

Peterson was the first supplier member to serve as chairman of the NPTC Board in the organization’s 67-year history. During his term, awareness of driver safety in heavy-duty trucks was raised through the organization’s promotion of high visibility seatbelts. NPTC’s financial performance also improved, membership increased and a new five-year strategic plan for the organization was developed.
