Austin named director of Schneider Logistics Europe

Schneider Logistics, an international lead logistics provider and part of the Schneider National enterprise, has appointed Andrew Austin to the new position of director of supply chain logistics for Europe, based at its European head office in Venlo, The Netherlands. Austin, who joined the company on May 1, will be responsible for all operations and customer account management activities principally undertaken from Venlo.

Austin brings more than 20 years of commercial and operational management experience in the logistics industry. He joins Schneider from Blue Alpha Limited, a logistics consultancy company he began to provide consultancy services in the industrial services arena. Previously, Austin was the head of logistics for Indigo Lighthouse Group, a provider of fulfilment and CRM services, and was the managing director in Northern Europe for FedEx Logistics. A native of Glasgow, Scotland, Austin also is a member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
