Customers tested Kenworth on-highway, vocational and medium-duty trucks equipped with the latest features and options at “Kenworth: The Right Choice,” a customer event held recently in the Seattle area.

” ‘Kenworth: The Right Choice’ offered customers the chance to learn more about Kenworth’s quality product line, technology, state-of-the-art plant assembly, and outstanding customer support,” says Gary Moore, Kenworth’s assistant general manager for marketing and sales. “Customers appreciated this inside look at Kenworth and seeing our continuing efforts at enhancing Kenworth’s status as the World’s Best.”

The two-day event included a Kenworth Ride and Drive, held on the Paccar Technical Center test track in Mount Vernon, Wash., which featured Kenworth on-highway, vocational and medium-duty models. The Kenworth trucks included a T2000 75-inch Aerodyne; two T600 72-inch AeroCabs; W900 86-inch Studio and 72-inch AeroCabs; T800 62-inch AeroCab FlatTop, Extended Day Cab, roll-off and transfer dump; and T300 water tanker and roll-back. The new Kenworth T660 Studio AeroCab, W900 Pendleton Limited Edition with Studio AeroCab, and T800 FEPTO models were shown. The Paccar Technical Center visit included a 2007 engine update, supplier fair and tour.

Second-day highlights featured an industry update and visits to the Kenworth Research & Development Center, Kenworth-Renton plant and Kenworth PremierCare Customer Center, all in Renton, Wash.

The next “Kenworth: The Right Choice” event is scheduled for Sept. 11-13 at the Kenworth plant in Chillicothe, Ohio. The plant recently was named Quality Magazine‘s “Plant of the Year” in the large plant category of more than 250 employees.
