Schneider Logistics names Evans director, new business development

Schneider Logistics, an international lead logistics provider and part of the Schneider National enterprise, has announced that Dave Evans has joined the company as director of new business development. In the position, Evans will expand the company’s customer base in the Western United States, focusing on developing new business engagements for Schneider’s Transportation Management and Logistics lines of business as well as the company’s Transportation Advisory Service offerings.

“With logistics sales and business development experience rooted in both transportation and in the Western part of the country, Dave is a perfect fit for this position,” says Dan Van Alstine, senior vice president of enterprise sales for Schneider National. “Throughout his career, he has demonstrated relentless dedication to improving processes, bringing in new business and generating revenues for several industry-leading companies. Evans joins Schneider Logistics from Penske Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Penske Truck Leasing, a joint venture of Penske Corp. and General Electric. At Penske, he served as strategic account executive, developing new partnerships for the company in the Western United States. Previously, Evans spent eight years at Kuehne & Nagel/USCO Logistics, a global provider of integrated logistics and supply chain solutions. At the company he held several prominent positions, serving most recently as vice president of sales for the Western United States. Prior to Kuehne & Nagel, Evans spent 14 years in sales and business development at Ryder System.
