Petro Stopping Centers has announced the introduction of a new Iron Skillet Restaurant menu for the summer, now available at all of its restaurants nationwide.

The new menu adds beef fajitas and a new “Cowboy Burger,” but the featured item is the 18-ounce “Cowboy Ribeye.” The steak comes with the customer’s choice of potato and will be selling at the suggested price of $9.99.

Steaks are by far the most popular entrée item at the Iron Skillet, making up more than 12 percent of total restaurant sales, the company says. The restaurant now offers four steak entrées, including a 7- and 12-ounce top sirloin, a 16-ounce T-bone and the 18-ounce ribeye.

The Iron Skillet also is changing the dessert menu this summer: Strawberry shortcake, made with fresh strawberries, and a hot brownie dessert have replaced cheesecake on the new menu. The restaurant also will offer bottled water for the first time, in response to customer requests.
