General Motors recently honored Denso Corp. — a global supplier of advanced technology, systems and components — with its Corporation of the Year award. This marks the third time the company has earned this recognition, also receiving the award in 1996 and 2000.

Denso also was one of 85 companies named Supplier of the Year by GM. The award, presented April 29, recognizes the company’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and navigation systems. Denso has earned the award 12 times.

Winners for the Supplier of the Year award, which began in 1992, are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price.
