For the second consecutive year, Reinke Manufacturing — a maker of intermodal container chassis, over-the-road aluminum flatbeds and drop-deck trailers — has awarded scholarships to Nebraska-area high school and college students who are continuing their education.

Winners were selected for the Reinke Manufacturing Community Scholarship Program and the Reinke Manufacturing Employee/Student Scholarship Program based on the overall quality of the essays they submitted; their past academic performance, and future potential and leadership; and participation in school and community activities, among other factors.

Three current college students, all children of Reinke employees, were awarded $1,000 scholarships for submitting essays describing their career and educational aspirations and goals. Six additional high school students from areas directly surrounding the company’s national headquarters in Deshler, Neb., were awarded $500 scholarships.
