2 Dart Transit drivers receive Million Mile Safety Award

Two drivers for Dart Transit recently received the National Safety Council’s Million Mile Safety Award, which is given to drivers attaining at least one million miles of accident-free driving.

Roosevelt Howard, a resident of Columbus, Ga., has been an owner-operator with Dart Transit in St. Paul, Minn., since 1994. Howard participates in the company’s professional driver development program, which involves a yearly driver improvement course, safety advisers, driver performance analysis and professional recognition.

Joseph Roberts, a resident of Valley Station, Ky., volunteers as a Trucker Buddy for an elementary school class in Georgia. Roberts has driven for Allpoints Inc. since 1992; Allpoints operates under contract with Eagan, Minn.-based Dart Transit.
