BP Lubricants has announced it will launch a line of products this fall under the Castrol brand that meet the updated CJ-4 specifications for new emission standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency. The lubricants are formulated to enable the next generation of low-emissions diesel engines to meet 2007 standards.

Castrol says it will offer both CJ-4 and CJ-4 Plus lubricants that have undergone more than 8 million miles of testing and are designed to have extended drainage intervals. The Castrol Hypuron semi-synthetic diesel engine oil will be the first product introduced under the new classification.
