U.S. Xpress Enterprises has announced that John Bowes has been appointed president of its Xpress Global Systems subsidiary. Bowes has served as executive vice president and general manager of the unit during the past year, and he has held a series of leadership positions since joining the company in 1993.

In his new position, Bowes will oversee all aspects of Xpress Global Systems’ operations, customer service, sales and marketing, safety and driver recruiting. Prior to Bowes’ appointment, U.S. Xpress Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Max Fuller also had been serving as president of the unit.

Most importantly over the past year, John has demonstrated a proven talent of positive change in a challenging business environment.”
