Schneider Logistics, an international lead logistics provider and part of the Schneider National enterprise, has announced it has received the 2006 Best Third-Party Provider Award from the Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Solutions (VICS) Association. This is the second time Schneider National has been recognized by VICS for excellence in the industry.

Schneider was honored for the creation and implementation of its proprietary Sumit GlobalView supply chain technology platform, which integrates information from a broad network of supply chain technology solutions, vendors and clients and presents the data to end users in the most efficient way possible.

Schneider collaborated with AGI Worldwide Inc., a global provider of supply chain execution solutions and services, to develop Sumit GlobalView. The VICS Collaborative Commerce Achievement Awards honor outstanding creative thinking and leadership in conjunction with VICS and GS1 U.S. standards utilization to develop effective supply chain partnerships.

“We are honored to be recognized by VICS for our new and creative technologies that will offer comprehensive international logistics services and improve global supply chain management for our clients,” says Tom Escott, president of Green Bay, Wis.-based Schneider Logistics. “We are committed to providing our clients with the most advanced and effective logistics solutions to improve visibility and create operational efficiencies across the global supply chain.”
