Karmak recently named Bob Reiher as the director of software development, responsible for overseeing more than 25 employees in the development of Karmak Legend, ProfitMaster and Director Series software, as well as the Legend Quality Assurance, Internal Training and Price File departments.
Reiher comes to Carlinville, Ill.-based Karmak from Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. in Alton, Ill., where he served as manager of Mid-Range Systems. In this capacity, Reiher oversaw 11 systems administrators for Smurfit-Stone’s medium- and large-scale computer systems, and focused on project management for infrastructure projects concerning those systems.
His experience also includes working for McDonnell Douglas on NASA’s International Space Station in Houston, as well as for BJC Health Systems and Boeing in St. Louis.
