The Missouri Motor Carriers Association recently named Robert Conger as the Missouri Driver of the Month for June 2006. Conger, of Enosburg, Vt., was selected for the award by representatives of the U.S. Department of Transportation, the State Highway Patrol, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Division of Highway Safety from nominations submitted by a number of companies.
Conger is a contractor with Prime Inc., based in Springfield. He has been with Prime for eight years, following about 21 years of driving for other companies. Throughout his many years – and nearly four million miles – on the road, he has never been involved in an accident. Conger has received Prime’s annual safe driving award every year since he first joined Prime in 1997. Prime also named him Contractor of the Year in 2000.
MMCA will honor Conger at its safety luncheon, where he will receive a “Driver of the Month” winner’s certificate and an engraved watch.
