Mobil Delvac will showcase its next generation of heavy-duty engine oils at the Great American Trucking Show, Aug. 24-26, at the Dallas Convention Center. The backwards-compatible product line is designed to meet or exceed API CJ-4 requirements in response to the 2007 emissions specifications mandated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The lineup, according to Mobil Delvac, includes:

  • A newly reformulated Mobil Delvac 1300 Super (15W-40): Coming in October 2006, and with more than 7 million miles of on-highway testing using both low-sulfur and ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuels in both new and pre-2007 engines, Mobil Delvac’s “Million Mile Oil” will exceed API CJ-4 requirements for soot-viscosity control, wear performance, deposit control and oil consumption control, enabling users to maintain the same drain intervals.
  • Mobil Delvac Elite (15W-40): A new addition to the Mobil Delvac family, Mobil Delvac Elite 15W-40 will be introduced in 2007 as an advanced API CJ-4 version of its current Exxon XD-3 Elite 15W-40, a heavy-duty, synthetic blend diesel engine oil offering extended drain capabilities beyond conventional diesel engine oils.
  • A newly reformulated Mobil Delvac 1 (5W-40): Also coming in 2007, Mobil Delvac’s long-standing, fully synthetic flagship heavy-duty diesel engine oil will be reformulated to meet API CJ-4 requirements. Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40 will not only offer extended drain interval benefits beyond Mobil Delvac Elite 15W-40, but also potential fuel economy benefits.
