CTL Distribution has named Roy Witthoft the winner of its August 2006 Bull Dog Award, which is presented to acknowledge an employee’s character, integrity, performance or improvement in performance. Witthoft — a professional tank truck driver based at CTL’s terminal in East St. Louis, Mo. — hasn’t been in an accident since he joined the company in 1998. Prior to joining CTL, Witthoft served in the U.S. Air Force and spent five years teaching.

“Roy is always willing to help in any way he can to take care of our customers … there is hardly a week that goes by without a customer requesting Roy be assigned to their load,” says John Kays, East St. Louis terminal manager. “In fact, customers that have worked with Roy in the past have actually changed load requirements or rescheduled loads in order for Roy to be assigned to their load – a show of confidence and respect that speaks volumes of Roy’s abilities.”

CTL Distribution, based in Mulberry, Fla., specializes in providing transportation services for the state’s phosphate and fertilizer industry, as well as nationwide chemical transportation.
