SiriComm today, Sept. 5, announced that Matthew R. McKenzie has been named as the company’s chief financial officer and treasurer, effective today. Additionally, Bill Graham, who was appointed chief executive officer for an interim period in July, will remain in his role on a permanent basis.
“We are pleased to welcome Matt to our executive management team, and very happy that Bill has agreed to stay on permanently,” says Hank Hoffman, chairman of the Joplin, Mo.-based company. “With our senior team now in place, we can move forward in executing our strategic plan. We continue to be optimistic about the opportunities that exist for SiriComm, and with Bill’s managerial leadership and Matt’s financial expertise, we believe we can further our position as the communications standard for the trucking industry.”
McKenzie, a Certified Public Accountant, has more than 12 years of financial and operational management experience. He initially joined SiriComm in February 2005 and served as controller and director of customer support until September 2005. Prior to rejoining SiriComm, McKenzie was the director of financial services for the Empire District Electric Co., where he was instrumental in completing several debt and equity transactions as well as the acquisition of a natural gas distribution operation. From 2001 until 2005, McKenzie was with Fast Freedom, a subsidiary of the Empire District Electric Co., serving as president and CFO.
