A one-day seminar on workers’ compensation in the trucking industry will be held Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Doubletree Hotel O’Hare Rosemont in Chicago. The presenter will be James C. Hardman, a motor carrier attorney, who has received lifetime achievement awards from the Truckload Carriers Association, the Minnesota Trucking Association and the Transportation Lawyers Association.

The seminar and accompanying written material will deal with practical, cost-related and legal issues to help attendees avoid being “whomped” by workers’ compensation issues. The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The $195 fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch and the written materials, which otherwise can be purchased for $80 plus a $4.95 shipping cost.

The same seminar will be held in Madison, Wis., on Oct. 5; and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Nov. 2. For more information, call Norma Carlson at (651) 697-1516.
