Muth joins Penray as chief chemist

Penray — a manufacturer of cooling system treatments, fuel treatments and shop chemicals — has announced that Steve Muth has joined the company as chief chemist, responsible for product development. Muth also serves as technology resource and an inventor.

“We are really honored to have Steve join our Penray team,” says Randy Fowler, vice president of sales and marketing for Elk Grove, Ill.-based Penray. “With his past experience and extensive knowledge in various chemical industries, Steve will be a tremendous asset to the company.”

Over his career, Muth has held several positions, including process development chemist/synthesis research chemist for Stepan, process engineer/product development chemist for Benetech, product development chemist/process engineer for Bullen Midwest, process chemist/quality control supervisor for Cognis, and quality control supervisor/process analytical chemist for Akzo-Nobel.
