Mullen Group Income Fund announced Tuesday, Sept. 12, that David Mullen had informed the Fund that he will be relinquishing his position as vice president and business unit leader of Mullen Trucking, one of the Fund’s independently operated business units.

Mullen has been in the organization for more than 25 years, a time when Mullen Trucking has grown into one of Canada’s largest long-haul trucking companies. He is leaving to become chief executive officer of Cordy Oilfield Services, where he already was serving as board chairman, a post he will retain. Mullen has agreed to make himself available to the Fund through December on a consulting basis and thereafter as the need arises.

“It will be difficult to replace the experience and enthusiasm that Dave brought to our business,” says Murray K. Mullen, Fund chairman. “His leadership style and knowledge of the industry have been a major contributor to Mullen Trucking’s successes over the years. In addition to his many accomplishments, he has selected and mentored a management team that is more than capable of continuing to provide quality service and leadership to the many Mullen Trucking customers and employees. We wish Dave all the best in his future endeavours. He will be missed, and we thank him for the many years of service to our organization.”
