For the second year in a row, Magnum Logistics has appeared on Inc.’s 500 list as one of the nation’s 500 fastest-growing private companies. Based in Indianapolis, Magnum Logistics provides on-site transportation management, dedicated carriage, warehousing, benchmarking and many other supply-chain management services to manufacturers and distributors.

This year, Magnum Logistics ranked 339 on the list, up from their 2005 ranking of 398. In just three years, Magnum Logistics has experienced 400.3 percent growth. The company now employs 90 people, and brings in more than $45 million in revenue each year.

Founder James Sharp believes the company’s success is due largely to its emphasis on providing customers the best value for their transportation dollar. “As shipping costs rise, Magnum helps clients manage their expenses by working with smaller trucking companies,” Sharp says. “That way, we secure better rates and often better service than larger companies typically offer.” Sharp says he also opens his company’s books to his clients for quarterly review.

Magnum Logistics also was named one of the fastest-growing companies in the state of Indiana by the Indianapolis Business Journal in 2004, 2005 and 2006. “Mangum Logistics takes pride in its 75 owner-operator partners and 45 company truck drivers,” says Scot Sauer, director of capacity development. “We credit much of the company’s success to their hard work and dedication.”
