ALK Technologies has announced a partnership with CSC, which has integrated ALK|FleetSuite Tolls into its Freight-Link Transportation Management System for fleets. Integration of ALK|FleetSuite Tolls with Freight-Link will provide CSC clients with finger-tip access to accurate truck toll costs for accounting and billing, and tolls can be part of critical decisions on bids and lane analysis, the companies say.

“ALK|FleetSuite Tolls is used extensively by carriers and shippers in high-density toll areas such as the Northeast,” says Ed Siciliano, vice president of sales and marketing for Princeton, N.J.-based ALK Technologies. “Integration of this valuable resource into a comprehensive business system such as Freight-Link enhances the potential for profitability. CSC customers can now have control of tolls. They will be able to quickly and precisely price lanes and accurately reimburse drivers for toll expenses, something that will prove a genuine competitive advantage, particularly as toll facilities proliferate, as seems to be the case.”

ALK|FleetSuite Tolls is designed to enable transportation and logistics companies to enhance toll calculation, collection and reconciliation. CSC’s Freight-Link is designed to provide comprehensive operations and accounting functionality for companies that offer a variety of transportation services, including truckload, less-then-truckload, intermodal and brokerage. ALK is a developer of profit-driving routing, mileage and mapping software, including PC*Miler and the family of ALK|FleetSuite solutions.

“At CSC, we listen to our customers and we find they are concerned with the rising cost of tolls,” says Brian Ellis, president of CSC. “It’s something we wanted to address, and now we have. Pricing bids properly and automatically adding toll charges to invoices will improve our customers’ bottom line.”
