Somerset Welding & Steel, a manufacturer of dump bodies, trailers and specialty truck equipment, has announced the promotion of Tim Mateljan to purchasing director. Mateljan, who was serving as materials coordinator, now will be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness, product quality and reliability, and that service standards are met.
“Tim’s past experience in materials management made him the logical choice for our company,” says S. William Riggs, company president. “His background and education will be an asset, and we are pleased to welcome him into his new position at Somerset Welding.”
