Decker Truck Line, based in Fort Dodge, Iowa, has announced that Keith Andrews has been selected as the September 2006 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Month for the flatbed division. Andrews lives in Fort Dodge with his wife, Tammy. He has been with Decker since July 1990, first as a company driver, and in 2004 he became an owner-operator. Andrews is a member of Decker’s Million Mile Team.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the reefer/van division was Bryan Thenhaus, who resides in Mason City, Iowa, with his wife, Michele. Thenhaus has been with Decker since September 2004.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher, and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing, and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators who are selected as a Driver of the Month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
