Sears Seating has announced that it has an agreement with Freightliner and its Sterling Truck subsidiary to provide its dealers and customers nationwide with the ability to order Sears Atlas seats as a published option in Freightliner and Sterling trucks.

Sears Atlas seats are available in Freightliner truck models Columbia CL120 and CL112 and Century Class S/T CST120. The seats include the Elite 80 Series and the 70 Series. As part of the agreement, the seats also will become available in Sterling truck models A9500, AT9500, L7500, LT7500, L8500, LT8500, L9500 and LT9500.

Atlas seats are described as the “ultimate” truck seat because of their extreme comfort, improved three-axis stability and durability during lengthy test cycles. The line of seats features four different series, including the Elite 80 Series, the 70 Premium Comfort Series, the 70 Series and the 35 Series. Features of the Atlas Elite 80, for example, include Mordura fabric covering, ComfortZone support structure system, three-position independent seat extension and seat tilt, adjustable air lumbar and ToggleLink suspension.

“We are proud to be able to partner with Freightliner and Sterling in bringing these lines of seats to truck drivers everywhere,” says Steve Sears, president of the truck division of Davenport, Iowa-based Sears Seating. “Freightliner is one of the leading truck manufacturers in the country, and this line of top-quality seats will only make them better.”
