Truckers wanted for New Jersey parking survey

The North New Jersey Transportation Planning Authority has begun a Truck Rest Stop Study and is asking truckers who drive through that part of the state to complete an online survey. Survey responses will be anonymous and confidential; to participate, go to www.njrest.org.

The authority will assess truck rest stops and service stops in a 13-county area and recommend new sites or expansion of existing sites. The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council and the Connecticut Department of Transportation also are conducting truck-parking studies; a final regional report will result from the three studies combined.
