McLeod releases Version 8 of LoadMaster, PowerBroker

McLeod Software unveiled at the American Trucking Associations annual meeting in Dallas Version 8 of its LoadMaster and PowerBroker enterprise software systems. LoadMaster is designed for private and for-hire trucking operations, while PowerBroker is used by non-asset brokerage and logistics providers.

The upgraded versions of the two products share many enhancements that reduce administration time, increase productivity and provide greater customer service, the company says. Several features specifically address unique challenges in the refrigerated carrier segment, including expanded visibility of order billing and payment detail; new screens for enhanced tracking of over, short and damaged (OS&D) reports and appointment confirmations; and automation of garnishment, claims processing and a wider variety of fuel surcharges.

LoadMaster v8 also now offers a temperature warning system, while PowerBroker v8 now interfaces with TransCore’s Carrierwatch to validate carriers.

The company also announced that it has expanded its presence with the opening of a western U.S. headquarters office in Salt Lake City. The new office, located at 4001 S. 700 E., will provide sales and training support to McLeod’s growing base of customers and prospects in the West.

“We are very enthusiastic about the opening of our new office in Salt Lake City,” says Rick Halbrooks, vice president of sales and marketing for Birmingham, Ala.-based McLeod. “Salt Lake is a major business and airline hub, and is a logical location for us. Our company’s continued success relies on our ability to meet the growing demands for the products and services we provide, and this new regional office allows us to respond quickly to customers’ needs throughout the Western United States.”
