Jim Niness has been promoted to executive vice president of FT Silfies, a regional mid-Atlantic dry bulk carrier based in Nazareth, Pa.
“Jim has done an excellent job since joining Silfies earlier this year and will maintain the role of chief operating officer, as well as leading a strategic sales initiative focusing on increasing revenue and yield improvement,” says Randy Sheeler, company president and chief operating officer. “We’ve more than doubled the size of our company within the past 12 months through organic growth and acquisitions, and Jim has played an integral role in our success.”
