J. Bauer Trucking will receive $120,000 in Enterprise Development Zone tax credits to help fund a $1.7 million expansion, the Wisconsin Department of Commerce said. J. Bauer, based in Medford, serves a variety of manufacturers and industries. The company currently employs about 80 workers and expects to create 40 more jobs with the construction of a new truck repair shop and the purchase of related equipment.

The tax credits are being awarded through the Enterprise Development Zone tax credit program from the Department of Commerce. The program provides tax incentives to new or expanding businesses whose projects will affect areas with high unemployment.
