The national average price of a gallon of diesel dropped by 1 cent for the week ending Monday, Nov. 6, the U.S. Department of Energy reported. The average price was $2.506, about 19 cents less than the same week last year.

Every region saw 1-cent to 2-cent decreases except the Rocky Mountains, where prices stayed exactly the same; and the West Coast, where they increased by four-tenths of a cent to $2.606. Central Atlantic drivers were paying $2.628, the most of any region, while drivers in the Lower Atlantic were paying the least, $2.448.
