Thermo King has introduced an ROI (Return On Investment) calculator for its TriPac Auxiliary Idle Reduction and Temperature Management System. The company says the online tool helps customers understand the financial benefits of purchasing and operating Thermo King TriPac systems and the relatively short period of time in which TriPac systems can pay for themselves.
The TriPac system is designed to allow truckers to eliminate unnecessary idling and save money while providing engine preheating, battery charging, climate control and power in truck cabs. To see how much the TriPac system can save them, customers can go to www.thermoking.com/tripac and click on the “TriPac Savings Calculator” button.
Customers may follow the prompts to enter their information and will be shown what the annual cost of their idling is, what that cost would be with TriPac, what their annual savings would be, and how long it would take for the TriPac system to pay for itself. After running through the calculations, customers can generate a detailed report for either a single tractor or an entire fleet, showing fuel usage, maintenance and operating cost comparisons. They also can request a quote on a TriPac system from a Thermo King dealer.
The calculator site also features product literature on the TriPac system, customer testimonials, a dealer locator to find the Thermo King dealer nearest to the customer, and links to websites for the EPA SmartWay program and information on government idle laws and tax rebates for APU purchasers.
