TA acquires truck stop in Troy, Ill.

TravelCenters of America has announced the acquisition of an existing independent facility in Troy, Ill., east of St. Louis. Located on I-55/I-77 and State Route 162 at Exit 18, the full-service travel center is designed to meet the needs of professional drivers and other highway travelers.

The full-service restaurant is open 24 hours, seven days a week with more than 185 seats in the dining area; TA says the restaurant will convert to a TA Country Pride in the near future. In addition, a well-stocked spacious travel store offers a wide selection of competitively priced, brand-name beverages, snacks and travel products; visitors will find everything they need from gifts and souvenirs to electronics and driver supplies.

TA St Louis East also offers truck repair and maintenance with a standalone shop located behind the facility. The three-bay truck service center is open 24 hours, seven days a week, and employs ASE-certified technicians. Other conveniences include 16 diesel dispensers, 120-space truck parking area, emergency road service, a lounge area with game room, TripPak Scanning, Interstate Scales, six luxury showers, WiFi and the RoadKing Club. Other TA amenities and services, including IdleAire, will be added in the future.
