Merit Transportation hires three executives

Merit Transportation, a refrigerated carrier headquartered in Omaha, Neb., announced that it has added three key individuals to its staff:

  • Ralph Lang was named vice president of sales. Lang brings 30 years of transportation experience in operations and sales.
  • John Houston was named chief financial officer and corporate treasurer. Houston formerly was CFO of Millard Refrigerated Services.
  • Gary Ruettgers was named vice president of operations. Ruettgers, who has more than 15 years of transportation experience, was director of load planning for Tyson Foods and director of operations for PBX.
