The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is accepting nominations until Jan. 4, 2007, for membership on the new Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee, which is mandated by federal legislation enacted in 2005.
The FMCSA administrator will appoint up to 20 members for the panel. Representatives of motor carriers, safety advocates and safety enforcement will be chosen based on their education, training or experience.
