Decker Truck Line has named Warren Erxlebren as the November 2006 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Month for the flatbed division. Erxlebren lives in New Liberty, Iowa, with his wife, Vicki, and started with Decker in September 2005.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the reefer/van division was Rick Lackner, who lives in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where Decker is based. Lackner, who started driving with Decker in March 1998, has three children: Cody, Cheyenne and Triston.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing, and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators who are selected as a Driver of the Month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
