Schneider Logistics has announced the appointment of Michael Squadrille as team vice president of international sales. Schneider says the new addition to its sales team supports the company’s commitment to further develop and expand its global business initiatives.

Squadrille will focus on international development, working closely with the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, American Overseas Logistics, and with Schneider’s growing international freight forwarding networks in Europe and China. Schneider acquired American Overseas Logistics, an international freight forwarder and a licensed U.S. Customs Broker, in February 2006.

“Michael’s depth of experience in international business development, import and export services and international freight forwarding is critical to this position,” says Dan Van Alstine, senior vice president of enterprise sales at Green Bay, Wis.-based Schneider National. “His previous roles provide the crucial experience necessary to enable him to lead the freight forwarding and customs brokerage sales strategy for our North American customers.”

Squadrille joins the company from GeoLogistics, where he served in several high-level sales management positions and as West regional director. Most recently, he held the post of director of sales and marketing support for the Americas region. Previously, he spent 14 years at ABX Logistics in various sales management roles, including senior vice president, international. He also served eight years at BAX Global as vice president and general manager of import services.
