Cottingham & Butler has announced the addition of Loren Belcher, a new sales executive for the transportation practice. The company says this addition will expand the national footprint of the Cottingham & Butler Transportation Practice to California.

“We are very pleased to be expanding our sales force to the California market place,” says Chris Patrick, Truck Insurance Group senior vice president. “Aligning our people with our clients and prospects enhances our customer service model and gives us an industry advantage.” The Cottingham & Butler Truck Insurance Group currently has clients in 47 states.

Belcher, who is based out of the Folsom, Calif. office, joins C&B from InterWest Insurance Services. With a comprehensive understanding of the transportation sector and more than 14 years of experience in insurance, Belcher specializes in warehousing and distribution operations, in addition to transportation. He currently serves as vice president on the steering committee of the Sacramento chapter of the California Trucking Association. He also has served as vice president of the executive board of the National Safety Management Society, Golden Gate Chapter and the American Society of Safety Engineers.
