Fleet One, a provider of financial service solutions to companies with fleets of vehicles and the merchants that serve them, announced what it called its largest contract to date. An agreement with Chevron Products Co. allows the Fleet One Local card to be accepted at more than 10,000 participating Chevron- and Texaco-branded retail gasoline sites across the country.

“This agreement with Chevron significantly expands Fleet One’s network of merchant partners stretching from the East to the West coast,” says Robert “Bert” Nix, vice president of merchant acceptance for Nashville, Tenn.-based Fleet One. “We’re proud to be partnering with such a longtime and well-respected company and brand.”

Since Chevron sells fuel under the Chevron and Texaco brands, Fleet One Local cards are accepted as payment for both brands of fuel, as well as maintenance and road-related services. More significantly, the deal expands the Fleet One Local fueling network nationwide, the company says.
