Ready mix operators and other construction segment businesses can see Kenworth’s 2008 model vocational trucks at the annual World of Concrete Show from Jan. 22-26 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Kenworth’s booth (No. N2337) will feature four 2008 models, including a T800 short hood equipped with a loader crane; T800 wide-hood heavy hauler; W900S mixer; and T300 dump truck.

This year is expected to be a healthy one for the construction market, says Gary Moore, assistant general manager of marketing and sales for Kirkland, Wash.-based Kenworth. “Construction spending is expected to remain strong in 2007, particularly in the commercial sectors,” he says.

“There’s been a healthy amount of store construction, new hotel projects are up substantially, electric utility construction is on track for a large increase, and increases in highway construction projects are expected from the multi-year federal transportation bill,” Moore says. “Construction segment contractors and ready mix operators running durable Kenworth trucks engineered to the customer’s specific application will be in a great position to take advantage of those opportunities.”
