Budget Truck and Auto now offering graphic design

The expansion of the graphics department at Budget Truck and Auto, which began about one year ago, has reached a new level. Today, the department does more than just replacing graphics — it has ventured into the design field.

Originally formed to complete repair work on customers’ vehicles, from accident damage to updating a tired semitrailer fleet, the department was expanded recently to offer services for logos and full identification packages, and designer Jayson Sanders was hired. When customers are interested in changing their graphics, Sanders offers them multiple original designs. “From there,” Sanders said, “I work with the customers until we’ve developed the perfect design, whether it’s for a whole coach line or a single truck.”

Janesville, Wis.-based Budget Truck and Auto uses the Roland GX-500 CAMM-1 Pro Vinyl Cutter/Plotter and a Macintosh G5 computer. Eventually, plans call for adding complete monographics, ink imprinting, vehicle wraps and more.

The graphics department isn’t the only expansion at Budget Truck and Auto. The firm recently purchased the Gold Medallion Collision Repair Systems Centurion Frame Machine — a 63-foot-long by 10 1/2-foot-wide machine for heavy-duty frame straightening, which Budget Truck and Auto says makes it the only large vehicle collision repair firm in the Midwest to own one.
