Pitt Ohio Express recently announced plans to expand its service area, covering the entire state of Michigan and Indiana. The Pittsburgh-based company plans to open two terminals to serve the new areas on March 5.
“We exist to serve our customers, and our future is dependent on their needs,” says Charles Hammel III, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “Our attention to market research has indicated our current customer base is demanding more territory from us, and as a result, we must increase our flexibility.”
Pitt Ohio services the entire Mid-Atlantic region, specializing in next-day service from the Indianapolis commercial zone to Allentown, Pa.
