The CEI Group announced Monday, April 2, that it has named Katherine M. Croze, a 25-year veteran of the fleet industry, as national manager for government fleet accounts. Croze, who will be based in CEI’s sales office outside Tulsa, Okla., will lead the company’s sales efforts to offer collision management, driver safety and risk management services in this market.

CEI, based in Trevose, Pa., is a provider of vehicle accident and risk management services, serving self-insured, commercial, institutional and governmental fleets directly and through its alliances with fleet leasing companies. CEI also provides vehicle direct repair program outsourcing to property and casualty insurance companies that insure both private passenger and commercial policyholders’ vehicles.

“We’re targeting government fleets as one of the keys to our future growth,” says Wayne Smolda, CEI’s founder and chief executive officer. “Kathi is responsible for introducing us into this sector several years ago, and is the best choice to lead this strategic initiative.” Among the government fleet customers Croze has brought to CEI are the City of Gainesville, Fla., and the Washington State Patrol.

Croze, who previously served as regional sales manager for commercial fleet sales, joined CEI in 1991 after a career in fleet management; her previous employers include Computer Sciences Corp. and Hughes Aircraft Co. A 29-year member of the National Association of Fleet Administrators, she is a past affiliate trustee of the organization. She currently serves on the executive committee of the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators as its corporate liaison.
