Jim Zdrodowski and his 1988 Marmon tractor have been named the Firestone Truck Tires’ “Show Us Your Chrome” winner. Zdrodowski’s classic tractor can be seen at www.firestonetrucktires.com.
On the site, Firestone asks visitors to “Show Us Your Chrome” by submitting photos of their trucks. Zdrodowski, of Bloomfield, N.Y., bought the tractor three years ago for his dedicated hauls to northeastern Pennsylvania from Rochester, N.Y. The tractor still has the original paint.
The truck is powered by a Caterpillar 3406B ATAAC, 425-hp engine teamed with a 13-speed transmission. Zdrodowski rebuilt the motor 230,000 miles ago, and this year, the truck will surpass one million miles.
