Transport America recently announced its February and March Drivers of the Month for 2007. The drivers were chosen and recognized for their outstanding service to the truckload carrier and its customers during recent months. Each driver was given their award in a formal presentation at Transport America headquarters in Eagan, Minn.
Professional company drivers selected in February are Kenneth Gould, with Transport America for one year; James Collins, with Transport America for three years; and Rodney Deal, with Transport America for three years.
Professional contractors honored in February are Leon Caine, with Transport America for four years; Jeffrey Eggenspiller, with Transport America for more than 17 years; and Loren Bevevino, with Transport America for two years.
Professional company drivers honored in March were George Baird, with Transport America for almost two years; driver instructor Timothy Taylor, with Transport America for two years; and James Gardner, with Transport America for 12 years.
Professional contractors selected in March are Ervin Van Beck, with Transport America for 13 years; Ray Anderson, with Transport America for six years; and Todd Buck, with Transport America for more than 18 years.
Selections are based on safety, on-time customer service and working percentage. “Given the criteria, being selected as Driver of the Month is quite an accomplishment,” says Barry Mundt, director of fleet operations.
