FleetCor today, July 30, announced Charles Freund as managing director for its newly acquired subsidiary, The Fuelcard Company. Freund will contribute to FleetCor’s global expansion by leading the growth of The Fuelcard Company. This organizational move is the latest in FleetCor’s recent European business growth, including acquisitions of Keyfuels and The Fuelcard Company in the United Kingdom, and CCS in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

“Since its inception in 2000, FleetCor has posted consistent growth through both acquisition and organic product and market innovation,” says Ron Clarke, FleetCor’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Since joining the company, Charles has been a key contributor to FleetCor’s acquisition growth, while also helping us develop ideas for organic growth.”

Freund accepts this new position after working for the past six years as FleetCor’s vice president of business development, where he contributed to the company’s expansion by advancing acquisitions around the world. Freund will be based in Yorkshire and report to FleetCor’s CEO of European operations, Andrew Blazye. “We are thrilled to have Charles join the European team,” says Blazye. “His solid leadership skills and knowledge of the industry are invaluable assets to this company.”
