The NATSO Foundation recently announced the 2007 Bill Moon Scholarship Award winners. Because of the truckstop and travel plaza industry and its suppliers’ donations, the NATSO Foundation was able to award 15 $2,500 scholarships to assist students with college expenses.
The NATSO Foundation has annually awarded Bill Moon Scholarships to industry employees and their children to help offset the significant cost of a college education and has distributed more than $250,000 since the program began in 1993. The scholarships are meant to recognize truckstop employees and their dependents who have shown academic excellence.

Applicants are judged by an independent review committee, and selections are made based upon academic merit, extracurricular and community activities, and a short essay. Decisions are made without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion, national origin or disability.
